Are you someone who likes working with others, wants to help the community, and be a part of an incredible team? If so, Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada (VMSN) has the perfect volunteer opprotunity for you as an Eligibility Volunteer.
VMSN is a nonprofit medical clinic that provides free healthcare to low-income, uninsured Nevada residents through the work of volunteers. We are in need of volunteers who are comfortable speaking with a wide variety of people to determine if applicants meet VMSN's patient qualifications, so that they may recieve free medical care.
This position will be responsible to verify household incomes, review Nevada residency documents such as utility bills and rental agreements, and verify size of households.
The perfect candidate for this position is someone interested in connecting with people on a 1-1 basis, can follow instructions/direction, can communicate effectively with a wide range of people, and/or someone either experienced in Social Work or studying to become a Social Work professional.

Description
Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada is a nonprofit medical clinic that provides free healthcare and medication to low-income, uninsured Nevada residents through the work of volunteers. We have doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals that volunteer to provide this medical care, but we also have non-medical individuals who volunteer in all departments within our clinic.
