UBGC - Goleta Unit

The United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County - Goleta Unit provides a variety of opportunities for volunteers. We are currently in need of Tutors in our Afterschool Program. The Tutors will be paired with a lead teacher that would help instruct and work with the volunteer to deliver homework and activity support to our member children.

We are open M,T,W, & F from 3:30pm - 6:30pm, Thursday from 2:30pm-6:30pm and Saturday 10-4pm
We ask that volunteers commit to one shift of at least 2 hours per week.

Description

The United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County is a non-profit organization that provides a safe, positive and enriching environment for youth between the ages of 5-18.Currently, we have four main Clubs, six satellite afterschool educational operations, and a 55 acre residential camp. Our first branch opened in Goleta (1952) followed by Santa Barbara Westside (1962), Carpinteria (1967), Lompoc (1988), and Camp Whittier (1988).Through our wide spread county presence we directly serve in upwards of 4,500 youth in Santa Barbara County annually. We provide a professionally trained staff to insure the development of positive self-esteem, proper values, and healthy life skills through constructive educational programs. We strive to encourage each child to reach their full potential.
