Mission Statement

The mission of Camp El Har is to be a Christ-centered camping and conference ministry. Through this ministry, located in a natural setting in the hills of southwest Dallas, God is proclaimed and exalted, and people are equipped for His service. Camp El Har supports the Body of Christ by facilitating evangelism and spiritual growth, and meeting emotional, physical and spiritual needs of individuals, families and groups. Through the use of its facilities, resources and staff, in a variety of programs, Camp El Har enriches the lives of people of all ages.

Description

Camp El Har is a unique nonprofit, non-denominational year-round Christian camp and retreat center. Established in 1937, there is no other Christian camp in Dallas and Ft. Worth which offers the variety of year-round programming so close to the cities. The camp is nestled on 165 acres of wooded hills in southwest Dallas near Joe Pool Lake. The variety of programs are accredited by the American Camping Association and the camp is a member of Christian Camping International.
